THE DNA THEY SHARE
Both the Original and Quickset are built on the same core platform: the same materials, the same accuracy, the same Aussie craftsmanship.
ORIGINAL VS. QUICKSET
Not sure which one's right for you? Here's every difference at a glance.
THE ORIGINALProven. Simple. Trusted
THE QUICKSETSmarter & FasterSIMPLE. PROVEN. TRUSTED SINCE 1998.
The deflator that started it all. Screw it on, walk away, come back to perfectly deflated tyres. No batteries, no electronics just precision-machined brass that works every single time.
SAME PROVEN GUTS. SMARTER SETUP.
Everything drivers love about the Originals, with a built-in PSI gauge that makes setup almost foolproof. See exactly what pressure you're setting — no guessing, no counting turns, no separate gauge needed.
BUILT TO PERFORM
STILL NOT SURE?
We get it. Here are the questions we hear most.
WHAT'S THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ORIGINAL AND QUICKSET?
The Quickset has a built-in PSI gauge so you can dial directly to the pressure you're setting — no separate gauge or counting turns needed. The Original uses the same proven brass platform and accuracy, just with a count-turns method.
DO I NEED ANY TOOLS TO USE STAUN DEFLATORS?
No — both models thread on by hand and self-stop at the pressure you set. No spanners, no batteries, no fuss.
DO THEY WORK ON ALL TYRE VALVES?
Yes. Staun deflators fit standard Schrader valves found on every 4WD, ATV, motorbike, and trailer tyre.
DO I NEED TO RESET THEM EVERY TIME?
The Original needs a re-count of turns when you change pressure. The Quickset just dials to the new PSI with the reference lines.
WHAT IF MY CURRENT PRESSURE IS ONLY SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE PRESET?
Both deflators self-stop at your set pressure. If your starting pressure is already at or below the preset, no air will release.
WHERE CAN I BUY THE QUICKSET?
The Quickset is a Staun-exclusive product, available only through staun.com.au. The Original is also stocked at Supercheap Auto, Anaconda, and select 4WD retailers Australia-wide.
