CHAPTER 1: THE PROBLEM
Every 4WD Owner Had the Same Frustration

Back in the late '90s, there was no reliable, set-and-forget solution. Just guesswork, wasted time, and inconsistent pressures across all four tyres.
CHAPTER 2: THE SPARK
A Barge Worker'sBackyard Invention
Working on a barge in remote Australia, the founder of Staun needed to deflate tyres fast, often in challenging conditions, with no room for error.
So, on a workbench in his shed, he built the first Staun Tyre Deflator: a simple brass valve that screwed onto a standard tyre valve, automatically deflated to a preset pressure, then stopped.
"I just wanted something I could screw on and walk away. No guessing, no bending over, no waiting. That's what I built."
Word spread. Mates wanted a set. Their mates wanted a set. Before long, what started as a backyard fix had become a real product — and a real business.
