AUSTRALIAN MADE. ALWAYS.
Every Staun is proudly assembled and individually tested in Australia. We've never moved production offshore, and we never will.
If you've ever stopped to air down before hitting the beach or a corrugated track, you already know the routine.
Squat beside every tyre. Check the pressure. Adjust it. Check it again. Move to the next wheel and repeat.
By the time you're finished, you're hot, covered in dust and everyone else is waiting.
Back in 1998, that was simply how it was done. There wasn't a reliable, hands-free way to get four tyres to exactly the same pressure.
That's the problem Staun set out to solve.
Experiencing the frustration firsthand, Steven set out to build a better way.
Back home, he spent the next two years designing, testing and refining a tyre deflator that anyone could simply screw onto a standard valve and walk away from.
The result was the first Staun Tyre Deflator, a precision brass valve that automatically deflated tyres to a preset pressure before stopping on its own.
It wasn't created to start a business. It was created to solve a problem that every 4WD owner faced.
Word spread quickly. Friends wanted a set. Then their mates wanted one too. What began as a practical solution in a backyard workshop soon became Staun Tyre Deflators.
More than 25 years after Steven built the first Staun Tyre Deflator, every set is still assembled and individually tested right here in Australia.
We've never chased cheaper manufacturing overseas or compromised on quality. Every Staun is built with the same attention to detail that made the original trusted by generations of 4WD owners.
Today, with more than 350,000 sets sold worldwide, Staun continues to evolve. From the Original Staun Tyre Deflators to the new Quicksets with their built-in PSI gauge, every product is designed to make airing down faster, easier and more consistent.
Whether you're heading to Fraser Island, the Simpson Desert or your local beach, you're using a product that's proudly Australian made, proven over decades and built to last.
Steven develops the first Staun Tyre Deflator after repeatedly airing down tyres while working on a remote Australian barge. The first prototypes are designed and built in Queensland.
