BORN ON A BARGE.BUILT IN AUSTRALIA.

In 1998, while on a Australian barge, one problem kept appearing. Drivers struggled to air down their tyres quickly, accurately and consistently. There had to be a better way. After two years of designing, testing and refining, that solution became Staun Tyre Deflators. More than 25 years later, every Staun product is still proudly Australian made, hand assembled and individually tested.

1998

AIRING DOWN SHOULDN'T TAKE THIS LONG.

If you've ever stopped to air down before hitting the beach or a corrugated track, you already know the routine.

Squat beside every tyre. Check the pressure. Adjust it. Check it again. Move to the next wheel and repeat.

By the time you're finished, you're hot, covered in dust and everyone else is waiting.

Back in 1998, that was simply how it was done. There wasn't a reliable, hands-free way to get four tyres to exactly the same pressure.

That's the problem Staun set out to solve.

AIRING DOWN SHOULDN'T TAKE THIS LONG.

FROM ONE FRUSTRATION TO ONE SOLUTION.

Experiencing the frustration firsthand, Steven set out to build a better way.

Back home, he spent the next two years designing, testing and refining a tyre deflator that anyone could simply screw onto a standard valve and walk away from.

The result was the first Staun Tyre Deflator, a precision brass valve that automatically deflated tyres to a preset pressure before stopping on its own.

It wasn't created to start a business. It was created to solve a problem that every 4WD owner faced.

"The goal was simple: screw them on, walk away, and know every tyre would stop at exactly the right pressure."

Word spread quickly. Friends wanted a set. Then their mates wanted one too. What began as a practical solution in a backyard workshop soon became Staun Tyre Deflators.

FROM ONE FRUSTRATION TO ONE SOLUTION.
