Staun Tyre Deflators (“Staunies”) started with a simple idea on a 4WD trip off the Australian coast in 1998. Two mates were on a barge packed with 4x4s, watching everyone, including themselves, crouched in the sand, struggling to let tyres down. Keys, matchsticks and sticks in one hand, a torch and tyre gauge in the other, all trying to deflate faster before hitting the tracks. They figured there had to be a better way. That moment is where Staun Tyre Deflators were born.
They knew there had to be a better way, so they spent the next two years researching, designing and refining the idea that became Staun Tyre Deflators. A simple, fast tool that lets you accurately deflate your tyres and get off-road sooner.
